Drum lessons are now available from Andrew Gallop who has developed a teaching facility focused on offering the best drum quality education from his studio in West Hampstead, London.

The new studio is acoustically treated to ensure the internal sound is great and that there is where for the sound to escape to annoy the neighbours!

But most importantly is the fact that inside the studio he can offer drum students acoustic and electronic drum kits to learn on.

Not only that but there’s always an acoustic kit rigged up with microphones and ready to record at the press of the button. this means that students can get recording studio experience to learn the nuances and discipline required for that environment.

Listening back to your playing is also one of the fastest ways to stop your weaknesses and improve. It’s also massive fun too!

There is also a selection of world percussion available to use, so it’s a great creative space to learn in. Andrew’s passion lies in sharing his drumming experience with people who are keen to learn.

He enjoys the challenge of teaching people with varied abilities and ages because each student has different strengths, different weaknesses and ways of learning.

But they all share the same goal of moving to become the best drummer they can be.

He also likes the lessons to have the freedom to be student-led. Although he has a large tried and tested drum syllabus, it’s great when a student brings something to the lesson whether that’s a desire to learn a favourite song, a new drum groove, an interesting technique, or something else they may have come across outside of the lesson.

Using a topic that the student is passionate about makes the learning so much more fun and can be used as a vehicle to develop technique, theory, reading and all the other important aspects that are required to make a great drummer.

To help you make that decision many teachers have online teaching content so you can get a feel for how they work before you contact them. Below you will find a video of me teaching a beginner drum beat.
