I’ve recorded in an amazing variety of studios from bedrooms and basements to some of the world’s most renowned studios. Every recording environment has its own set of unique challenges and surprises.

Studio recording can be like marmite, you either love it or hate it. I personally love recording and I don’t mind where I do it!

Each time I go into the studio whether or not I’ve been there before, I learn something new that I can use in the future.

Richard Strange’s Home Studio – Cricklewood, London

I recorded a track for Richard in his basement back in 2012 for the American thriller Dark Hearts. The track is called Blood Brothers and was mixed in Hans Zimmer’s studio in LA. We’ve also rehearsed and done pre-production there for various tours and recordings.

JUST ADD BACON – WHITECHAPEL, LONDON

Just Add Bacon was a basement studio in East London that me and Micky (Bassist in Harpo Smith/Orlando Seale and The Swell) built as a rehearsal/recording space. I recorded a few things down there.  Sadly it was taken from us for redevelopment into some fancy flats in early 2017.

LYLE’S HOME STUDIO – KENSAL RISE, LONDON

Lyle (previously a guitarist from Fortnight In Florida) was working and looking after this event space in Kensal Rise. When it wasn’t in use as a space for partying Lyle had it setup up as a fully functioning home studio.

We (Harpo Smith) managed to get a couple of demos done for our first album before it was rudely taken away from him at the beginning of 2018 also for redevelopment.
